Twas the weekend before Christmas

Tania and i went on a photowalk. We met a group at the Salt Lake City Library, heard a short lecture on shooting at night, and went to Temple Square along with sixty other people.

One of those other people was Scott, who took this picture. Thanks, Scott.

As Tania and i were downtown, she had said to me “Ya know, buying a second camera was one of the smartest things we’ve done.” i couldn’t agree more. i had shown her this weekend some Lightroom tricks, and now she threatens to be autonomous with her pictures. For me, editing is almost half of presenting my pictures (the one above was heavily cropped and resized) and it can make a difference in what other people see, as opposed to what you were trying to capture.

Another bonus of having good cameras is everywhere we go becomes more interesting. i hope the season brings you joy, that you find that which you enjoy, too.
